First aid - dust and fumes

If you start to feel dizzy, feint, or drowsy during any process that creates fumes you should stop working immediately. Leave the work area, and leave the doors and windows open to clear the fumes.

Fine airborne dust can lodge in the lungs and cause disease. If a choking sensation occurs, leave the workshop and wait for the dust to settle. Once the dust is no longer airborne, clean it up whilst wearing appropriate personal protection equipment.
